As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. Your key responsibilities include assisting the Store Manager in daily operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner. Answer questions and resolve inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on Family Dollar practices and procedures, under the Store Manager's direction.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and record keeping, including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support loss prevention efforts.
• Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and up to 55 lbs occasionally; able to perform physical tasks like walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, job knowledge, relationship management.
