The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position manages the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager leads store team members in servicing customers.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  2. Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, including team member execution of customer service programs.
  3. Work with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
  4. Assist in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching, mentoring, and training updates.
  5. Participate in recruiting tasks, interviews, candidate evaluation, and collaboration on hiring decisions.
  6. Answer telephone according to company policy.
  7. Ensure timely processing of online orders, transfers, and customer contact upon shipment arrivals.
  8. Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using the electronic ledger.
  9. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and accurately.
  10. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
  11. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
  12. Ensure team compliance with policies, schedules, and clock-in/out procedures.
  13. Perform store opening/closing duties, including end-of-day procedures, deposits, security, and vehicle checks.
  14. Assist in maintaining store building, parking lot, signage, hardware, equipment, and vehicles.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification

Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification, ASE Certification, fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
