Job summary

Staples, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead sales, customer service, and team development in our Hemet, CA store. You will guide a high-performing team to deliver an exceptional in-store experience and total solutions for customers.

The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and execution of store operations with a focus on community engagement and meeting sales goals. Experience in retail or services is preferred and a dynamic, customer-centric approach is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing a sales team in a retail or services environment.
• Experience coaching a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based setting.
• Able to engage with customers and understand their needs.
• Strong communication, organization, planning and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Review results vs. goals and develop growth plans; manage conflict constructively.
• Demonstrates honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Physical ability to lift/move materials (10–50 pounds), climb ladders, stand, and walk repeatedly.

Essential skills and experience:

• 2+ years managing a sales team in a retail or services industry
• Experience managing and coaching a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment
• Must be able to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs
• Strong communication, organization, planning and adaptive to changing business priorities
• Review results against business goals and strategies and deliver plans for growth and improvementManage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10 - 50 pound range,climb ladders, stand and walk continuously
