Base pay range

$65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Position: Assistant Store Manager

Joseph’s Assistant Store Managers are responsible for assisting the Store Managers with the day-to-day total store operations including customer service, training and development of all store associates, labor management, cash and inventory control, asset protection, store conditions, and performance management.

Routine Tasks

• Ensures customer service from all associates is up to the Joseph’s standard
• Maintains Joseph’s standards for product freshness and sanitation
• Identifies staffing needs, works with Store Manager to properly onboard and train employees
• Follows up on training and people development programs
• Ensures all products and display cases are replenished, maintained, and rotated
• Works with Store Manager on budgeting and achieving company goals
• Assists Store Manager with profit and loss and income statement results
• Responsible for employee safety and store cleanliness
• Assists Store Manager with writing and approving labor schedules, ensuring labor schedules are adhered to and controls payroll costs
• Assists Store and Department Managers with writing and approving orders to be submitted to buyer
• Ensures each departments inventory is properly managed, preventing out of stocks and abundances that lead to waste
• Assists with reviewing and approving period ending inventory counts
• Assists with other tasks as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in Food & Beverage Retail, Culinary, or Hospitality industry
• Ability to deliver friendly, respectful, timely customer service
• Ability to lead a team and hold people accountable
• Ability to manage profit and loss and income statements
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions
• Ability to work well with others

An Assistant Store Manager performs their tasks primarily in their particular location and may be asked to visit other Joseph’s locations. Must have the ability to clearly articulate the company’s goals and follow up on tasks and projects to achieve those goals. Must be able to resolve conflicts and promote a positive environment where all store associates enjoy coming to work. Work involves walking, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting products weighing up to 80 pounds. Work also includes frequent interaction with customers and fellow employees.
