Job summary

Sun Tan City seeks an Assistant Salon Director to sustain a high-energy, client-centric environment and drive sales performance. You will supervise Tanning Consultants, model excellence in operations, and champion guest experiences while meeting productivity goals.

The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and accountability across day-to-day salon activities, with flexibility for evening and weekend coverage to ensure robust store performance.

Qualifications

• Management or sales experience required.
• College education preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced setting.
• Lead by example to deliver client-centric service and meet personal sales goals.
• Maintain a clean, professional salon environment at all times.
• Set clear goals for team members and coach performance improvement.
• Generate sales reports, manage inventory, and assist with director functions.
• Support the Salon Director in achieving top-line revenue and controlling costs.
• Ensure proper staffing levels for productivity and customer service while managing labor costs.
• Work nights and weekends as required to provide management coverage.
• Possess reliable transportation for banking duties as needed.
• Work five days per week with a 40–45 hour schedule depending on status.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining a high-energy, positive environment, where behaviors that support client-centric service are consistently demonstrated. THIS IS A SALES POSITION. The Assistant Salon Director helps drive store performance, fosters superior client service, and maintains operational excellence to meet or exceed established productivity goals. This individual will manage and supervise Tanning Consultants to achieve company goals and will lead by example in all company operations. The Assistant Salon Director fosters a sense of urgency to achieve objectives and holds the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience and sales.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily operations of the salon in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example in all company operations including creating a client-centric experience and meeting personal sales expectations.
• Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
• Establishes clear goals and objectives for Team Members.
• Provides coaching, training, and feedback to improve Team Members’ daily performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
• Assist the Salon Director in controlling top line revenue and expenses.
• Help to maintain proper staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and excellent customer service while also controlling labor costs.
• Ability to work nights as well as Saturdays and Sundays as required to provide management coverage.
• Has reliable ability and transportation to go to the bank as needed.
• Candidate should expect to work five days per week, and approximately a 40-to-45-hour work schedule depending on hourly or salary status.

Experience

• College education preferred, but not required.
• Management and/or Sales experience required.
• Basic Computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple situations simultaneously.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
• Strong leaderships skills, with the ability to coach and mentor while having knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
• Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
• Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from the floors.
• Ability to perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
