General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. This includes maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and provide excellent customer service.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on operating practices.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise to the sales floor.
• Help with ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support loss prevention efforts.
• Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities such as walking, standing, and climbing.
• Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
