Position Overview: As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting the Store Manager in daily operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers positively. Answer questions and resolve inquiries.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and provide excellent customer service.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
• Support in ordering merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Contribute to loss prevention efforts.
• Act in managerial capacity during the Store Manager's absence.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
• Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
