Job Summary:

We are looking for a responsible, hands-on Assistant Manager to help lead our homewares retail team. This role supports the Store Manager in daily operations, maintains a clean and welcoming environment, ensures staff are properly trained, and helps keep the store well-stocked and running smoothly. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and supporting a customer-centric environment that drives sales and builds loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in leading and training store team members to provide exceptional customer service and in-depth product knowledge.
• Foster a customer-first environment focused on creating a welcoming, helpful, and personalized shopping experience.
• Help drive store sales by motivating staff, understanding sales goals, and identifying daily opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, stockroom, and other areas of the store.
• Receive, unpack, and distribute merchandise shipments; restock shelves and displays as needed.
• Support in managing inventory levels, organizing the stockroom, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including store security.
• Assist with visual merchandising and maintaining a clean, styled, and shoppable store environment.

Requirements:

• Retail experience required; leadership experience preferred.
• Interest in or experience with homewares and interior styling is a plus.
• Must be comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, unpacking boxes, and stocking shelves (up to 40 lbs).
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a team-first mindset, and a positive, customer-focused attitude.
