Base pay range

$24.00/hr - $27.50/hr

Assistant Managers drive sales, services, and customer engagement in the store and ensure the store is ready for business. Responsibilities include establishing customer relationships, providing total solutions, and leading a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment. Immediate hiring is available.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide strong leadership in community, customer service, sales, and team development
• Ensure store culture aligns with Staples values and community commitments
• Develop and coach a high-performing team to meet sales and operational goals
• Manage daily merchandising and operational tasks in partnership with the GM
• Act as Floor Leader, overseeing store operations and cost control
• Champion company initiatives and adapt to changes

Essential Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years managing a sales team in retail or services
• Experience in customer-centric, solutions-based environments
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage conflict and work in a high-paced environment
• Physical ability to lift/move materials (10-50 pounds), climb ladders, stand, and walk

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience using financial metrics to drive sales and margins
• Community engagement skills
