Job summary

Rottinghaus Company Inc, a Subway franchisee, is expanding and seeking an Assistant Store Leader to drive daily operations and team development.

You will lead by example as a Sandwich Artist, manage shift coverage, ensure food safety, train new staff, and support the Store Manager in delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example as a Sandwich Artist.
• Monitor productivity and adjust employee hours.
• Handle inventory, coupon log tracking, spot checks, and post close reconciliations.
• Open and close the store.
• Bake bread according to Subway standards.
• Train new team members and track progress.
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness per Subway and Health Dept.
• Assist with catering orders.
• Support Store Manager with shift coverage and team culture.
• Develop positive working relationships with trainees.

What You'll Do:

As an Assistant Store Leader, you'll be a key player in daily operations and team development. Your responsibilities include:

Leading by example as a Sandwich Artist.

Monitoring productivity and adjusting employee hours as needed.

Handling inventory, coupon log tracking, spot checks, and post close reconciliation during shifts worked as needed.

Ordering food as needed.

Tracking food rotation in cooler, freezer and dry goods.

Being able to successfully open and close the store.

Being able to successfully complete a catering order.

Being able to bake bread according to Subway standards.

Supporting the Store Manager with shift coverage and team culture.

Ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards as set by Subway and the Health Department.

Attending new promotional Window calls as requested.

Performing cash-handling and reconciliation tasks.

Training new team members and tracking their progress.

Assisting employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to their position.

Develop positive working relationship with employees they are training to help adapt them to the store's culture.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old

Flexible availability for all shifts
