Job summary

Rottinghaus Company Inc, Subway, is seeking an Assistant Store Leader to guide daily operations, train staff, and uphold Subway standards.

You’ll manage shifts, inventory, open/close duties, ensure food safety, and help grow the team culture while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old required.
• Flexible availability for all shifts.
• Excellent customer service and basic math skills.
• Must pass a background check.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example as a Sandwich Artist and oversee store operations.
• Monitor productivity and adjust employee hours as needed.
• Handle inventory, coupon log tracking, spot checks, and post close reconciliation during shifts worked as needed.
• Order food as needed.
• Track food rotation in cooler, freezer and dry goods.
• Open and close the store successfully.
• Complete a catering order successfully.
• Bake bread according to Subway standards and support manager with shift coverage.
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards as set by Subway and Health Department.
• Attend new promotional Window calls as requested.
• Perform cash-handling and reconciliation tasks.
• Train new team members and track their progress.
• Assist employees with how-to tasks and develop positive relationships with trainees.

What You’ll Do:

As an Assistant Store Leader, you’ll be a key player in daily operations and team development. Your responsibilities include:

• Leading by example as a Sandwich Artist.
• Monitoring productivity and adjusting employee hours as needed.
• Handling inventory, coupon log tracking, spot checks, and post close reconciliation during shifts worked as needed.
• Ordering food as needed.
• Tracking food rotation in cooler, freezer and dry goods.
• Being able to successfully open and close the store.
• Being able to successfully complete a catering order.
• Being able to bake bread according to Subway® standards.
• Supporting the Store Manager with shift coverage and team culture.
• Ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards as set by Subway and the Health Department.
• Attending new promotional Window calls as requested.
• Performing cash-handling and reconciliation tasks.
• Training new team members and tracking their progress.
• Assisting employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to their position.
• Develop positive working relationship with employees they are training to help adapt them to the store’s culture.
