Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead the team, and assist with staffing and development. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales, ensure a great customer experience, and maintain operational excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 2–4 years in retail leadership, and strong communication and organizational skills. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and development of store associates.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to team.
• Maintain a safe, organized, customer-focused store environment.
• Ensure adherence to policies and loss prevention standards.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support store operations and business needs.
