Primary Purpose:

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in retail to…

Client & Service Expert:

  • Develop business-driving initiatives that build repeat business or attract new customers.
  • Communicate and achieve store productivity targets including sales per hour, ADT, UPT, and capture rate.
  • Ensure all associates and leadership complete the sales training program and develop strong product knowledge across all categories.
  • Model and supervise the selling environment, providing consistent coaching to ensure the highest level of customer service and sales.

Leadership Presence/Steward of Talent:

  • Assist Store Manager in achieving financial success through improving measurable results that impact store performance.
  • Responsible for assuming the Store Manager role in their absence.
  • Lead by example with personal sales goals.
  • Educate team on sales plans, personal goals, and measurable stats, coaching to maximize business.
  • Network in the community to fill open positions efficiently with minimal business impact.
  • Conduct ongoing review and assessment of employee performance.

Building Brand Equity:

  • Understand and communicate the kate spade new york brand aesthetic, philosophy, and lifestyle to the sales team and customers.
  • Ensure brand and operating standards are met to support brand consistency.
  • Implement visual merchandising directives and maintain store presentation standards.
  • Communicate merchandise sell-through, stock position, business trends, product issues, and customer feedback to the Store Manager to increase customer service and sales.

Operational Excellence:

  • Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures, including counting register funds, completing bank deposits, and securing the facility.
  • Assist with managing payroll budget by scheduling and adjusting as needed.
  • Monitor and follow company policies on loss prevention to protect inventory and assets.
  • Manage POS transactions accurately to maintain inventory integrity.
