Bucks County Community College is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach for a part-time seasonal role. The assistant will support the head coach in coaching, program administration, and game operations.

Responsibilities include assisting with recruitment, game prep, equipment management, and helping student-athletes balance academics with athletics while upholding NCAA/USCAA/NJCAA rules and college policies.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching intercollegiate or high school athletics.
• Knowledge of softball and NCAA/USCAA/NJCAA rules.
• CPR certification/First Aid (Recommended).
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support head coach in implementing coaching philosophy and teaching softball.
• Drive college or rental van for away competitions as needed.
• Recruit qualified student-athletes.
• Assist with game preparation and home/away procedures.
• Track and inventory equipment, uniforms; report deficiencies.

Visit our Life Page on LinkedIn to explore our dynamic campus culture, hear from current employees, and discover what makes Bucks County Community College a great place to work!**Assistant Coach, Softball**Part-time (Seasonal)The Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting the head coach in executing the organization, administration and coaching of the Softball program.**Primary Duties*** Support and assist the head coach to execute a clearly defined philosophy of coaching and teaching Softball.* Drive College or rental van for away competitions as needed.* Recruit sufficient qualified student-athletes.* Assist head coach with game preparation, home and away competition procedures.* Tracks and inventories equipment, uniforms, and reports deficiencies.* Assist with student-athletes’ academic progress and provide support.* Support and assist with retention initiatives in conjunction with the Director, Student Life and Athletic Program, including enforcing academic support plan and supporting both the Completion and Student Success Agenda of the College.* Assist with fundraising activities, to meet teams’ financial goals.* Display a commitment to equality in player development and training.* Assist preparing team for competition.* Assist in creating a supportive, inclusive, and engaging student experience.* Coordinate the collection of team statistics for each game.* Comply with College, USCAA, NCAA rules and regulations and all other aspects of directing a quality intercollegiate Women's Softball program.* Act as a mandatory reporter for student issues and concerns and potential Title IX and College Code of Conduct violations.* Coach as a professional, mentor, and excellent representative of the values of Bucks County Community College.**Minimum Qualifications*** Experience in coaching intercollegiate or high school athletics.* Knowledge and experience coaching Softball.* Knowledge of NCAA, USCAA, or NJCAA rules and compliance.* CPR certification, First Aid (Recommended)* Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record**Background Checks/Clearances**Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of all required background checks and clearances. These include, but are not limited to, a Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check and verification of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. This position requires the operation of a motor vehicle as part of the job duties.
