Job summary

Simmons University’s softball program in Boston seeks a coach to assist the head coach in day-to-day operations of the program. Responsibilities include on-field instruction, practice planning, game strategy, and film breakdown, with recruitment and scouting duties to support team success.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the head coach, this position’s primary responsibility is to aid the head coach in day to day operations of the softball program.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous Coaching Experience (1-2 years preferred)

WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• 9 Month Position
• 12-18 hours/week
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
• Position requires work on weekends and/or nights
• Travel with the team during season is expected

COMPENSATION

$7,000 In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws effective October 29, 2025, Simmons University is committed to pay equity, transparency and clear communication throughout the hiring process.
