Job summary

Vistry Kent, at our Greenhithe site (DA9 9LS), is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager in safety, subcontractor coordination, and quality control. You will help with inspections, snagging, and customer-facing activities to ensure a safe, efficient build process.

Qualifications

• Experience on new build projects and health and safety management.
• Conversational/presentational skills for customer facing roles.
• Desirable CIOB qualification and safety certificates.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate utilities, trades, and suppliers for timely delivery and quality.
• Attend and support weekly site meetings to promote communication and safety.
• Maintain site presentation, documentation, and inductions for personnel.
• Monitor health and safety practices, accident reporting, and environmental policy.
• Oversee quality control, inspections, snagging, and trades/material standards.
• Support customer-facing activities, including demonstrations and service visits.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager to join our team within Vistry Kent, at our Greenhithe site (DA9 9LS). As our Assistant Site Manager, you will assist the Site Manager in ensuring site compliance with health and safety, coordinating subcontractors and materials, and maintaining construction quality. You will support site operations, inspections, snagging, and customer-facing activities to ensure a safe and efficient build process.

• NVQ Level 3, 4 or 5 in Building Construction or similar
• Valid Scaffold Inspection certificate
• Valid LOLER certificate
• Qualified to the required CIOB Grade applicable at the time in accordance with group policy
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Project and Asta Team plan
• Valid First Aid at Work Certificate
• Valid SMSTS Certificate
• Valid CITB SEATS certificate
• Assisting in the management of all aspects of the build process
• Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety, and environmental obligations and building legislation

• Ensure compliance with construction methods, health and safety regulations, and company policies, supporting the site manager in corrective actions and risk management.
• Coordinate with utility companies, trades, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials and services.
