Assistant Site Manager

Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Project and Site Manager and Technical Supervisor in resolving construction issues.
  2. Coordinate site meetings, define agendas, and prepare minutes.
  3. Review schedules, procedures, safety reports prepared by the Subcontractor.
  4. Set and lead safety standards on the project, establishing productivity and quality monitoring procedures.
  5. Liaise with the Owner and government officials regarding the project.
  6. Provide knowledge of local construction methods and heavy equipment installation.
  7. Manage communications with Trade Labor Union representatives on and off-site.
Skills and Qualifications

We seek a team player motivated by delivering excellent work aligned with Hitachi's vision. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Class B General Building Contractor License or Class C Specialty Contractors License (C-61/D-34).
  • Experience with installations of prefabricated products/equipment, including laboratory and medical equipment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing construction site activities.
  • Active CA Class B General Contractors License or Class C-61/D-34 Specialty Contractors License.
  • Knowledge of local construction methods and heavy equipment installation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.

For residents of NY, CA, WA, OH, and IL, the expected salary range if filled remotely is $94,834 - $118,542, based on experience. Employees are eligible for Hitachi's variable pay program.
