Job DescriptionAssistant Site Manager – Mixed-Use Development – South East London

We’re working with a leading main contractor delivering a standout mixed-use development in the heart of South East London. This architecturally striking scheme will bring over 130 new homes, commercial spaces, and landscaped areas to a growing part of the capital.
As an Assistant Site Manager, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of this high-profile project, working closely with the Site and Project Managers to ensure smooth daily operations, health & safety compliance, subcontractor coordination, and quality control across the build.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting the Site Manager and the project team in the day-to-day running of the site




• Supervising trades and subcontractors to ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard




• Managing health & safety on site, conducting inductions and ensuring best practices




• Helping to coordinate site logistics, materials, and deliveries




• Monitoring progress against programme and assisting with reporting

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar Assistant Site Manager role, ideally with a main contractor working on residential scheme




• Internal trade background




• Knowledge of residential construction and RC frame projects




• SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification




• Strong communication skills, proactive attitude, and attention to detail
