Job summary

YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a positive role model to support planning after-school programming, supervise a group of school-age children, and assist with daily center operations at Bellwood Elementary.

The role emphasizes safety, engagement, and collaboration with families; requires strong communication, a valid driver's license, and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid and MAT within 90 days.

Qualifications

• General experience with budgeting and program administration is helpful.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
• A valid driver's license and a good driving record are also necessary.
• Degree in a related field or CDA required or meet DSS licensing requirements.
• Minimum age is 18.
• Candidates must be responsible and energetic.
• The following are required within 90 days of Employment: CPR/AED Certification, First Aid Certification, MAT.

Job description

The Greater Richmond YMCA is looking for a positive role model to help plan programming, assist with overseeing the center and supervise children in our after-school child care program at Bellwood Elementary. Pay range for this position is $17-$18 per hour.

Responsibilities include sight and sound supervision of a group of school age children, along with day-to-day operations of a school-age child care center (snack purchasing, lesson planning, and parent engagement).
