Job summary

Drybar is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager with a valid cosmetology license to supervise staff, perform blowouts, and drive customer satisfaction. You will mentor team members, manage inventory, and coordinate with HR to ensure a positive culture and training.

Qualifications

• A current and valid cosmetology license for the state you are applying.
• Shampoo, blow-dry and amazing hair styling & finishing skills; blowouts in under 45 minutes.
• Lead team members to improve performance, client experience and membership sales.
• Develop talent within shop to maximize revenue and goals.
• Collaborate with HR to foster relations, culture and training.
• Monitor inventory and place orders to meet stocking standards.
• Work with Area Manager to hit daily sales and labor budgets.
• Train new staff on using Booker and Drybar core values.
• Provide excellent service to clients and staff; solve problems.
• Report time worked accurately for self and others.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, regulations and timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shop staff during shifts (bartenders, stylists, leads).
• Lead and coach team to enhance client experience and sales.
• Ensure blowouts are completed within 45 minutes.
• Monitor inventory; order back bar and retail supplies.
• Collaborate with Area Manager on revenue and budget goals.
• Train new staff on Drybar procedures and Booker usage.
• Drive membership sales and product upsell.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and problem solve.
