Job summary

The Take 5 Family is hiring an Assistant Shop Manager (ASM) to lead a customer-focused team in a fast-paced oil change shop. You’ll oversee daily operations, train and coach staff, and ensure a smooth service flow from check-in to checkout.

You’ll be responsible for inventory, scheduling, and achieving customer satisfaction while upholding safety and quality standards in all oil-change tasks.

Qualifications

• Must read and write in English with clear communication.
• Strong knowledge of oils and services is expected.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Check in with customers before they leave the shop to ensure great service.
• Assume the Shop Manager’s duties in their absence.
• Run the floor to coordinate team members and vehicle service flow.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Count and adjust inventory; place supply orders.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and address complaints.
• Onboard, train, and develop team members; mentor peers.
• Schedule team members and manage daily goals.
• Perform technician duties such as oil changes, fluid checks, and tire pressure adjustments.
• Process payments and maintain shop cleanliness; assist with flyers and signage.
