Job summary

Enviva, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking an Assistant Shift Supervisor to support the shift supervisor and ensure production goals are met. You will back up the team leader and help coordinate day-to-day pellet mill and hammermill operations, training new hires as needed.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to develop and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal job descriptions.
• Proficient in mathematics and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Work with all team members in day-to-day operations.
• Fill in areas when personnel are absent if staffing is not available.
• Train new hires when needed.
• Back up team leader on all fronts of Pellet Mill/ Hammermill operation.
• Follow up on daily shift testing to make sure within spec and if not communicate to the team leader.
• Should own the 5s procedure with all that applies.
• Must be able to multitask by balancing multiple items throughout the process.
• Perform/coordinate housekeeping daily/weekly for shift swaps to maintain to required standard, also walk with Safety manager during housekeeping audit monthly.
• Escalate issues promptly for proper resolution.
