Job summary

Enviva in Greenwood, SC is seeking an Assistant Shift Supervisor to support the shift supervisor, help the team meet production goals, and back up the team leader during operations at the pellet mill.

You will work with all team members, train new hires, ensure adherence to 5S and safety standards, manage daily housekeeping, and escalate issues promptly to enable smooth production and quality control.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and ability to work with basic measurements.
• Ability to develop and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Follows written and verbal job descriptions and procedures precisely.
• Proficient in mathematics and measurements required for production operations.

Responsibilities

• Work with all team members in day-to-day operations.
• Fill in areas when personnel are absent if staffing is not available.
• Train new hires when needed.
• Back up team leader on all fronts of Pellet Mill/ Hammermill operation.
• Follow up on daily shift testing to ensure within spec and communicate when out of spec.
• Own the 5S procedure and apply it across the shift.
• Multitask by balancing multiple items throughout the process.
• Coordinate housekeeping daily/weekly for shift swaps and participate in safety audits.
• Escalate issues promptly for proper resolution.
