Job summary

Inteplast Group is seeking an Extrusion Technician A in Texas to manage change-overs and operate extrusion lines within the assigned island. The role emphasizes housekeeping, safety, and quality across six production lines while coordinating with teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years plastic blown film experience as an operator or related 2/4 year degree.
• Mechanical aptitude for machinery and processes.
• Must perform process maintenance as needed.
• Maintain production and quality across 6 lines.
• Able to train Operator Trainees.
• Identify safety hazards and enforce safety rules.
• Flexible with non-standard hours and overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to plant safety rules and company policy.
• Maintain housekeeping in the assigned area.
• Ensure quality in the assigned area with proper QC procedures.
• Oversee production in the assigned area and complete related paperwork.
• Fill in as packer during breaks or when short-handed.
• Perform product changeovers and TPM in the area.
• Assist with employee training and equipment troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with maintenance on equipment repairs.
• Cover for Sr. Lead Technician when absent.
• Work overtime as needed and manage job stress professionally.

Position Objective

Responsible for change-over and operation of lines within his/her assigned island. Must be able to maintain good housekeeping, safety, quality, production quality, and must be able to work with other employees in assigned team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is preferred
• 3 year + Plastic blown film experience as an operator or 2/4 year degree related in the field that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of the position is preferred
• Mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to do Process Maintenance
• Must be able to maintain production and quality of 6 production lines
• Must be able to train Operator Trainees
• Must be able to identify safety hazards
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.

• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Job Responsibilities

Work Environment Conditions Subjected To In This Position

• Inside environmental conditions, protected from weather conditions, not necessarily temperature conditions.
• Subject to noise, causing reason to shout in order to be hard above the noise level.
• Subject to vibration, exposure fluctuating movements of the body.
