Responsibilities of an Assistant Service Manager

1. Oversees service in the Front of House
2. Enforces compliance with all employment policies in collaboration with management
3. Approves all Front of House side work and provides thorough training
4. Works during peak times to set the pace in the Front of House
5. Manages through hands-on supervision, including assisting with serving, hosting, cooking, etc.
6. Ensures 100% table visitation to gather customer insights and support sales strategies
7. Leads by example to develop employees and cross-train staff
8. Oversees scheduling and develops promotions to drive sales
9. Ensures compliance with Responsible Alcohol Service training
10. Practices safe food handling and maintains restaurant cleanliness and safety
11. Helps manage guest flow and assists with liquor inventory and ordering
12. Supports local marketing efforts and maintains the restaurant’s culture and core values
