Willard Heating and Cooling is seeking a dedicated Assistant Service Manager to oversee daily operations of our service technicians and fleet department in an in-office Texas setting. The role emphasizes customer relations, warranty and billing claims, and mentoring the Rockstar Team to achieve top performance.

Ideal candidates have hands-on management experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage a team while ensuring prompt, professional service delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a management role.
• Strong organizational leadership to grow a technicians team.
• 2+ years of sales experience.
• Ability to train and diagnose equipment.
• High energy, proactive attitude, strong communication.
• Solid computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Weekly training with your team.
• Run callbacks with your team to show in-field solutions.
• Be available for your team during work hours.
• Document jobsite analysis information per job.
• Conduct unscheduled jobsite inspections.
• Handle overflow service calls when needed.
• Ensure proper vehicle care and stock for the team.
• Perform quarterly performance reviews.
• Maintain efficient department operations and safety protocols.
• Ensure licenses and certificates are renewed.
• Utilize the software program effectively.
• Prepare quotations for recommended work.
• Communicate updates to customers and managers.
• Set and meet performance goals.

Who You Are

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Rockstar Team! The ideal candidate will oversee the efficiencies of the service technicians and fleet department. In addition, a strong background in customer relations, warranty and billing claims, sales, and the drive to mentor your team to be top performers. This role requires hands‑on experience, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively and ensure its continued success and growth.

Responsibilities

• Weekly training with your team
• Running callbacks with your team members to show in field solutions
• Be available for your team, if they are working so are you
• Jobsite analysis information must be documented per job
• Unscheduled jobsite inspections
• Be prepared to pick up overflow service calls
• Ensuring proper vehicle care and stock for your team
• Quarterly performance reviews for your team
• Other tasks and responsibilities as required to maintain efficient department operations
• Ensure technician licenses and certificates are renewed and kept up to date
• Sufficient knowledge and utilization of the software program being used
• Prepare quotations for recommended work
• Communicate and provide updates to customers and other managers
• Setting and meeting performance goals
• Implement and enforce company safety protocols
• Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction by ensuring prompt and professional service delivery
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice

Experience

• 2+ years of proven experience in a management role
• Strong organizational leadership skills to lead and grow a team of technicians
• 2+ years of sales experience
• Ability to properly train and diagnose equipment
• Great attitude, high energy, great communication, and sales driven personality
• Strong computer skills

Preferred

• Service Titan Experience
• HVAC knowledge
• Plumbing knowledge

Compensation & Hours

• Pay: $65,000 +, DOE
• Days: Monday - Friday
• Location: In - Office
