Job description

Assistant Service Manager – Automotive Dealership
Location: Crewe
Salary: £35,000 OTE up to £41,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm
Saturdays: On a rota

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Service Manager to join a well-established dealership in Crewe. If you’ve got a strong background in aftersales and are ready to step up into a leadership role, this could be the perfect move for you.

Working closely with the Service Manager, you’ll play a key part in the day-to-day running of the service department. From supporting the team to driving workshop performance and ensuring top-tier customer service, this is a hands-on, varied role with real responsibility.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting with the smooth operation of the service department

  • Organising and allocating work to technicians to maximise efficiency

  • Supporting and guiding service advisors, acting as a key point of contact

  • Handling technical queries and resolving customer concerns

  • Monitoring workshop performance and supporting achievement of key KPIs

  • Accurately completing job cards, reports, and warranty documentation

  • Staying informed of industry standards, technical bulletins, and compliance updates

What we’re looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair

  • Previous experience in a dealership service or aftersales environment

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Comfortable using dealer management systems (training can be provided)

  • A proactive approach and attention to detail

  • Good understanding of warranty processes and workshop performance targets

  • A full UK driving licence

  • A team-focused attitude and a passion for customer service
