Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Michigan is seeking an Assistant Service Center Manager to be the right hand of the Service Center Manager. You will lead a high‑performing team, supervise daily operations, and ensure top‑notch guest service across oil changes and maintenance tasks.

You will train hourly staff, manage weekly schedules, oversee inventory, and help uphold safety and quality standards in a fast‑paced, customer‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience required (coaching, training, and supervising a team).
• Customer service mindset and ability to build loyalty while following procedures.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment and making sound judgments under pressure.
• Experience using KPI data to monitor performance and identify improvements.
• Schedule flexibility; weekend availability likely, but no late nights or holidays.
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and maintenance services; educate guests on vehicle maintenance requirements and ensure recommended services are reviewed.
• Supervise daily operations on the floor and train new team members.
• Build loyalty with customers by delivering a quick, trusted service experience.
• Develop and maintain weekly work schedules; ensure optimal coverage and labor law compliance.
• Assist with inventory processes; manage product levels and ordering.
• Assist with store audits and maintain a clean, safe service center.
• Open and close the service center following safety protocols.
• Lead and train the team to develop their skills.
