Job summary

Sunbeam Family Services seeks an Assistant School Director to partner with the School Director in delivering high‑quality Early Childhood Services (ECS) including Head Start. You will provide instructional leadership, supervise staff, and support safe, developmentally appropriate learning for children and families.

You will ensure compliance with Head Start standards, coordinate with coordinators and Sunbeam departments, and participate in professional development and family engagement efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in ECE/CD/Health or related field.
• Alternate: Bachelor’s in unrelated field plus 36 ECE/CD credits.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in early childhood settings.
• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to center staff and teachers.
• Model best practices and support classroom operations.
• Monitor compliance, data reporting, and program implementation.
• Facilitate staff development, training, and performance feedback.
• Maintain records and ensure timely reporting.
