Job summary

RMS International is seeking an organized Assistant Sales Manager to support key retail accounts and bridge Sales Managers with cross-functional teams. You will help drive product development, customer communication, forecasting accuracy, and post-purchase order execution.

In a fast-paced environment, you will manage timelines, coordinate product launches, support customer meetings, and ensure effective communication with buyers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in sales support, account management, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Comfortable participating in customer-facing meetings and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Support Sales Managers in the day-to-day management of key retail accounts.
  • Oversee post-purchase order execution to ensure projects remain on schedule and customer expectations are met.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer communication related to product updates, timelines, approvals, and issue resolution.
  • Attend and contribute to customer-facing meetings, product kickoff meetings, and internal strategy discussions.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Product Development, and other internal teams to ensure timely execution of projects.
  • Manage and track pre-production samples, approvals, and customer-driven product revisions.
  • Monitor timelines, product development milestones, and reporting tools to maintain accurate forecasting and operational visibility.
  • Assist with sales reporting, profitability tracking, and forecast reconciliation.
  • Help identify opportunities for product expansion, new item development, and account growth.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of product setup documentation and internal systems.
  • Support operational troubleshooting related to product delivery, quality concerns, and customer requests.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, buyers, and internal stakeholders through consistent communication and follow-through.
