FreezPak Logistics is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager in Houston to support the Sales Manager in developing new business, strengthening customer relationships, and achieving sales goals for its cold storage and warehousing services.

You will coordinate daily sales activities, maintain records in the CRM, prepare proposals and quotes, and work closely with operations and customer service to ensure responsive, reliable service.

Qualifications

• At least two years of sales experience; experience in logistics, warehousing, cold storage, or related field preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience prospecting, maintaining a sales pipeline, and building customer relationships.
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to prioritize, maintain accurate records, and solve customer service and sales problems.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Leadership, coaching, or supervisory experience is preferred.

• Collaborate with sales colleagues to identify opportunities across the FreezPak network.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, pricing information, sales activity reports, and pipeline updates.
• Assist with coaching and supporting sales team members, coordinating follow-up activities, and preparing sales performance updates.
• Support other sales initiatives and related duties as assigned.

About the Role

The Assistant Sales Manager supports the Sales Manager in developing new business, strengthening customer relationships, and achieving sales goals for FreezPak’s cold storage and warehousing services. This position coordinates daily sales activities, maintains sales records, and works closely with operations and customer service to deliver responsive, reliable service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals, rate quotes, presentations, and responses to requests for proposals; support pricing and contract discussions within company guidelines and approval limits.
• Coordinate customer meetings, facility tours, and account reviews to explain FreezPak’s services and capabilities.
• Partner with operations, customer service, and facility leadership to confirm service requirements, coordinate customer needs, and resolve concerns.
• Collaborate with sales colleagues to identify opportunities across the FreezPak network.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, pricing information, sales activity reports, and pipeline updates; track progress against sales goals and performance indicators.
• Assist with coaching and supporting sales team members, coordinating follow-up activities, and preparing sales performance updates.
• Support other sales initiatives and perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least two years of sales experience; experience in logistics, warehousing, cold storage, or a related industry is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience prospecting, maintaining a sales pipeline, and building customer relationships.
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to organize competing priorities, maintain accurate records, and solve customer service and sales-related problems.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Leadership, coaching, or supervisory experience is preferred.

Work Environment and Requirements

Work includes customer meetings, sales coordination, and facility tours. During tours, employees may enter cold storage areas with temperatures as low as -10°F while wearing required personal protective equipment and freezer gear.

Travel may be required for customer visits, facility tours, and sales activities.
