Seattle Pacific University is seeking a part-time Assistant Rowing Coach to recruit and mentor student-athletes, teach rowing fundamentals, and lead novices to varsity competition. You will work with the Head Coach to ensure safe, successful team experiences and assist with travel, logistics, and equipment maintenance.

Ideal candidates communicate well, collaborate with staff, and embody a Christ-centered approach aligned with SPU’s values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with a competitive collegiate rowing program.
• Certifications (CPR, USRowing Level 2) or willingness to obtain them.
• Commitment to a Christ-centered university environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support student-athletes with integrity and enthusiasm.
• Recruit prospective student-athletes from high schools and on-campus community.
• Instruct rowing fundamentals and develop novices into varsity rowers.
• Collaborate with Head Coach and staff to deliver safe, successful team experiences.
• Assist with administrative tasks, travel planning, and logistics.
• Maintain rowing equipment and boathouse facilities; represent SPU Athletics professionally.
