Job summary

Seattle Pacific University’s Women’s Rowing program is seeking a part-time Assistant Coach to recruit, mentor, and develop student-athletes toward competitive success. This 19-hour-per-week role supports the Head Coach and campus life while modeling values of character and faith in a collegiate setting.

The position starts mid-September and ends in June; duties include coaching fundamentals, travel support in spring, equipment care, and collaboration with staff to deliver safe, strong team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with a competitive collegiate rowing program.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support student-athletes with integrity and enthusiasm.
• Recruit prospective student-athletes from high schools and on campus.
• Instruct rowing fundamentals and develop novices into varsity rowers.
• Collaborate with Head Coach and staff for safe, successful team experiences.
• Assist with administrative tasks and travel; help with equipment upkeep.
• Represent SPU Athletics with professionalism and positivity.
