The assistant rowing coach supports the head coach and isresponsible for a variety of coaching, teaching and recruitingissues, along with practice and race-day related functions asassigned by the head coach.

Duties
  • Provide instruction to rowing student-athletes on thefundamentals and strategies of rowing and racing. Understand andfollow USRowing and racing guidelines
  • Assist in recruiting/retaining highly skilled student-athletes;Design and execute effective novice/walk-on programs.
  • Actively support and promote the NCAA’s Life in the Balancestrategic positioning platform, embracing the six ideals ofleaning, balance, resourcefulness, sportsmanship passion andservice.
  • Assist with arranging lodging/meals/transportation for teamtravel; trailer driving/boat transportation experience.
  • Assist in monitoring the academic progress of all rowing teammembers.
  • Maintain and manage team equipment.
  • Assist in securing donations, sponsorships, and volunteeropportunities in support of the rowing program.
  • Assist with arranging for lodging and meals for teamtrips.
  • Assume duties of the head coach in his/her absence.
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is up to $40,000. Thefinal offer will be based on the candidate’s skills,qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable stateregulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may falloutside of the stated range.
