You will build relationships, manage projects, collaborate with admissions and advising, and help maintain ERAU’s commitment to excellence in student services, including programs for military and corporate affiliates.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • 1-3 years customer service excellence and/or 2 years recruitment experience.
  • 1-5 years of Financial Aid experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure.
  • Professional recruitment experience in higher education.
  • Analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft OS, Outlook, and Salesforce.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Moderate travel required.

The Opportunity:

The Student Recruitment Counselor (SRC) is a full-cycle recruiterworking with prospective students to provide them with accurateinformation allowing them to make an informed decision. They mayrepresent the university on occasion at educational fairs andtradeshows, as well as other post-secondary enrollment events.Working within the Student Recruitment Division, the StudentRecruitment Counselor assists with the development of recruitmentplans to meet targeted projections by implementing innovative aswell as effective recruitment tactics and initiatives. The StudentRecruitment Counselor is responsible for creating and maintainingrelationships with prospective students through matriculation;assisting prospective students inquiring about various educationalopportunities available through the Worldwide/Online Campus; manageprojects as assigned; and assisting other departments such asadmissions and advising as required. This position supportsexcellence in student services at every opportunity and seeks tocontinuously maintain a healthy relationship with university,military, and corporate affiliations. All SRC’s are required toutilize multiple resources and tools throughout their day to dayactivities for the purpose of effective recruitment.

  • Generous Time Off: Enjoy up to 18 days of paid leave in your first year, including 3 days granted upon hire and 15 days accrued throughout the year. You'll also receive 9+ paid holidays, including the day after Thanksgiving and the week between ChristmasEve and New Year's Day.
  • Tuition Coverage: Get 100% tuition coverage for yourself for one undergraduate and one graduate degree, and discounted rates for your spouse and dependent children up to age 26.
  • Retirement Contributions: ERAU contributes 6% of your base salary to your retirement plan and offers a 4% matching contribution – with no vesting period.
  • Personal Leave: Relax with 15 days of personal leave for non-exempt employees or 18 days for exempt full-time employees in your first year.

The annual salary range for this role is up to$43,888. The final offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable stateregulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may falloutside of the stated range.

Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma
  • Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of excellence in CustomerService and/or 2 years of recruitment experience.
  • 1-5 years of Financial Aid experience preferred.
  • Proven track record for consistently meeting deadlines with the ability to tactfully handle difficult situations and maintain composure under pressure, often under tight deadlines.
  • Must be a dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic individual with professional recruitment experience in higher education.
  • Must have analytical skills, and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Outlook/email, and Internet end-userapplications including Salesforce.
  • Must demonstrate exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate a high standard of personal conduct, professionalism, and integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality is vital.
  • Must be able to provide excellent customer service to coworkers, staff, students, faculty, and customers.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a willingness to seek guidance and direction as necessary for the performance of duties.
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail to ensure a high degree of accuracy of all content.
  • Must be able to recognize and deal with priorities, recognize and perform duties not directly assigned.
  • Must be able to investigate, problem-solve and take corrective action.
  • Moderate travel required.

Required Schedule/Availability (all times are EST): We are currently searching for someone available for at 9:00 a.m. –6:00 p.m. EST., but you also need to be available Monday through Friday: 8:0 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. EST as needed.

Requirements to be able to drive a university vehicle:
  • Must possess and maintain a valid, US driver’s license. In some instances, a valid Class C (CDL) license may be required.
  • Must meet the University’s standards for approved drivers. Unacceptable driving records (as stated in the Use of Equipment and Vehicles Procedure 1.17) include the following (for three years from the date of each occurrence):
  • Three (3) or more at-fault accidents and/or moving violations in the previous 36 months.
  • Two (2) or more at-fault accidents or two (2) or more moving violations in the past year.
  • Conviction for driving while impaired (DWI, DUI within the last five (5) years).
  • Conviction for death by vehicle, hit and run, racing, careless and reckless driving, implied consent in the previous five (5)years.
  • Serious violations result in immediate disqualification and revocation of driver privileges. The following are examples of serious violations:
  • Speeding over 15 mph of the posted limit, driving under the Influence of alcohol or drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless or careless driving, Use of vehicle in (drug trafficking, reckless homicide, soliciting), unlawful use of weapons, driving under suspension or revocation, fleeing a police officer, vehicletheft, Improper or illegal lane change, following too close, and passing a stopped school bus while stop sign is engaged.
