Responsibilities of an Assistant Manager

1. Partner with store leadership to foster a successful sales and performance culture
2. Support a team selling environment
3. Participate in store recruitment processes
4. Teach, coach, and train store associates within an established timeframe
5. Set and achieve high, yet reachable, goals for the team and ensure adequate staffing to meet store objectives
6. Handle employee relations issues in the absence of the Store Manager
7. Assist in analyzing the P&L statements
8. Lead change initiatives and champion company programs
9. Ensure proper merchandising of products according to company directives
10. Maintain safety and security for associates and customers
11. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, frequent bending, climbing, moving ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
