The Assistant Retail Manager oversees Retail Associates during operating hours to support sales and ensure compliance, acting as the store leader when the Retail Manager isn't present. Responsibilities include fostering sales goals, managing customer interactions, inventory, and ensuring adherence to Maine Adult Use program regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Open or close the store following checklists.
2. Assist with customer flow, transactions, and cash management.
3. Act as store leader in the absence of the Retail Manager.
4. Manage inventory receipt, counts, and storage following protocols.
5. Support performance reviews and corrective actions for Retail Associates.
6. Maintain product knowledge and represent brand standards.
7. Stay informed on cannabis industry trends and regulations.
8. Merchandise and zone store inventory.
9. Handle cash transactions and register operations.
10. Follow security protocols and maintain store displays.

Qualifications

• Some college required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum 3 years customer service experience; retail, sales, or restaurant experience preferred.
• Cannabis industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to articulate product details and achieve sales goals.
• Strong multitasking, leadership, and critical thinking skills.
• Outgoing, friendly, team-oriented personality.
• Must be 21+ and pass background check.
• Physical ability to stand long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
