Maxime’s, NYC’s newest private member’s club founded by entrepreneur Robin Birley, is hiring an Assistant Restaurant Manager. The club offers an exclusive environment with exceptional service, akin to a private home, featuring outstanding food, wine, and decor.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Assistant Restaurant Manager will oversee Front of House operations, ensuring service excellence and effective team collaboration.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deputize for the Restaurant Manager during their absence.
• Ensure exceptional service standards and Member satisfaction across all dining areas.
• Promote a team-oriented culture passionate about hospitality, food, and beverage.
• Lead by example, stepping into any role as needed during high volume or staff absence.
• Maintain a safe environment to prevent injuries and accidents.
• Build team morale and trust through hands-on leadership.
• Ensure team members are knowledgeable about company history, products, service steps, and safety protocols.
• Manage team performance through continuous feedback, coaching, and recognition.

• At least 2 years’ experience in fine dining or hotel settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, POS, reservation systems, and analysis programs.
• Current NYC Food Protection Certificate.
• Commitment to a clean, safe, and healthy work environment.
• Ability to work independently and flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Flexibility with job demands, operating all necessary equipment, working under pressure, handling equipment up to 50 pounds, standing for long hours, and working varied hours/days.
