Job summary

Arbor Day Foundation's Arbor Day Farm Campus in Nebraska City is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Supervisor to lead restaurant and lounge operations and help create exceptional guest experiences.

You will supervise, coach, and mentor Team Members, support scheduling and inventory, partner with Culinary, and provide leadership during peak periods, including events, while upholding the Foundation's values.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership in restaurant/hospitality.
  • Experience in a bar/lounge environment required.
  • Ability to manage fast-paced service and guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Team Members in restaurant and lounge operations.
  • Be present on the floor with a visible leadership presence during service.
  • Engage with guests, resolve concerns, and create memorable experiences.
  • Support scheduling, staffing, openings/closings, inventory, and beverage orders.
  • Partner with Culinary to ensure front- and back-of-house coordination.
  • Lead during peak periods, evenings, weekends, and events.

Regular leadership coverage is expected during peak service periods, including weekend brunches and evening dining service.Our campus is guest-centered and hospitality-driven. Many roles require flexibility to support weddings, conferences, seasonal festivals, and signature events. Guide, mentor, coach, and assist Team Members in restaurant and lounge operations to ensure they feel supported and have the tools they need to perform at a high level.Be present on the floor. Maintain a visible leadership presence during service, coaching Team Members in real time, supporting service standards, and helping create exceptional guest experiences.Engage with guests. From the moment they arrive and throughout their visit, you'll help ensure guests feel welcomed, valued, and cared for while resolving concerns and creating memorable experiences.Support daily operations. Assist with scheduling, staffing, opening and closing responsibilities, beverage ordering and inventory management, and other operational needs that keep the restaurant running smoothly.Partner with Culinary. Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure communication, coordination, and execution are seamless between front- and back-of-house operations.Lead during peak business periods. Provide leadership coverage during evenings, weekends, holidays, special events, and seasonal high-volume periods.Model our Core Values.
