Job Description

Your Role at Raising Cane’s:
The Assistant Restaurant Leader supports the Restaurant Leader in daily operations, upholding Raising Cane’s standards and culture across all areas of restaurant operations.

The physical work environment involves working in a fast-paced kitchen, which requires physical exertion such as walking, standing, lifting, and bending. It also includes working both indoors and outdoors in varied temperatures, handling food products, and using industrial equipment and cleaning supplies with personal protective equipment.

Your Impact And Responsibilities

Purpose of the position:

  • Hires and terminates all hourly, non-management crewmembers.
  • Manages onboarding, status changes, and payroll for all hourly crewmembers.
  • Creates work and training schedules for crewmembers.
  • Oversees performance management, coaching, and development of crewmembers.
  • Acts as manager on duty, opening and closing the restaurant.
  • Manages cash handling and ensures accountability.

General Responsibilities:

  • Enforces company policies and standards.
  • Executes shift management and safety standards.
  • Uses tools and logs to support shift operations and document results.
  • Deploys crewmembers during shifts.
  • Provides excellent customer service.
  • Uses reward and recognition programs for staff.
  • Authorizes employee functions requiring managerial approval.
  • Ensures cleanliness and proper maintenance of the restaurant.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Requirements for Success:

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-driven, flexible, energetic, with strong communication skills.
  • Effective both independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills with goal setting and planning abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new systems.
  • Willing to work various shifts, including weekends and travel if needed.
  • 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience.
  • Experience with new restaurant openings is preferred.
  • Must be 18 or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
