Job summary

May Institute is hiring an Assistant Program Coordinator for the Adult Residential Program in Easthampton, MA. This full-time role partners with the Program Coordinator to support individuals with Autism and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

You will gain leadership experience by running the home when the PC is away and will participate in on-call coverage. The position emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and strong organizational skills as you grow into a management

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with 1+ year of licensed driving experience required.
  • 1+ years prior experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and implementing crisis intervention/physical management experience preferred.
  • Interest in developing leadership skills and growing into a management role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and support while assisting in daily site operations.
  • Help coordinate meal prep, shopping, recreation planning, and household organization.
  • Support MAP procedures, documentation, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain communication with the PC, management, and nursing teams.
  • Take on-call responsibilities two days per week and cover the home when the PC is on leave.
