Job summary

May Institute Inc. is seeking an Assistant Program Coordinator to provide direct care and assist in daily site operations at locations including Easthampton, Westfield, and Wilbraham, MA.

The role involves coordinating meal prep, shopping, recreation planning, and household organization while supporting MAP procedures, documentation, and safety protocols. You will maintain communication with the PC, management, and nursing teams and take on-call duties two days per week when the PC is on leave.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least 1 year driving experience.
  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities; crisis intervention/physical management preferred.
  • Interest in developing leadership skills and moving into a management role.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Compassion, reliability, and commitment to supporting adults with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and support while assisting in daily site operations.
  • Help coordinate meal prep, shopping, recreation planning, and household organization.
  • Support MAP procedures, documentation, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain communication with the PC, management, and nursing teams.
  • Take on-call responsibilities two days per week and cover the home when the PC is on leave.
