Gateways to Change, Inc. in Rhode Island is seeking an Assistant Director to lead scheduling, staff development, and program implementation for adults with developmental and physical disabilities.

This role combines supervision, data analysis, and collaboration with the treatment team to set goals and teach programs, while modeling effective teaching techniques and coordinating trainings. A supportive, professional environment is provided.

Qualifications

• Some college in Human Services is preferred.
• One year of direct work with individuals with developmental disabilities is required.
• A valid driver’s license and auto insurance/registration are required.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Create, adapt, and maintain daily/weekly staff and consumer activity schedules to ensure programs are carried out and staff are adequately scheduled.
• Provide direct instruction to consumers and model teaching/intervention techniques.
• Conduct/organize staff training on Human Rights, Behavior Management, First Aid, Medication administration, illness detection, and related topics.
