Job summary

Gateways to Change, Inc. seeks an Assistant Director to initiate skills, supervise staff, and develop schedules and teaching programs for adults with disabilities.

You will gather data, write goals, and monitor progress with the treatment team, ensuring confidential, quality service delivery and strong family communication. You will lead training, policies, and daily operations, coordinate community activities, and uphold human rights while modeling professional behavior in a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Some college in Human Services
• One year working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Must have a valid driver's license and existing insurance, registrations & inspection
• Must provide a criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Create, adapt, and maintain daily and weekly staff and consumer activity schedules to ensure programs are carried out and sufficient staff are scheduled
• Provide direct instruction to consumers and model teaching and intervention techniques
• Conduct/arrange and document staff training for residential staff in Human Rights, Behavior Management, First Aid, Administration of Medication, Detecting Illness and Dysfunction, Communicable Diseases, Sexuality, Normalization, Data Taking, and Household Systems
