Schnabel is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to support our Tunnels Business Unit Program Management and Construction Management practice on nationally significant tunnel and underground infrastructure projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 8+ years of construction management or field engineering on tunnel/underground projects.
• Experience interpreting drawings, geotechnical reports, specs, and contract requirements.
• Experience with CPM scheduling and progress tracking.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily on-site construction management for tunnel/underground projects.
• Support CM at Risk, Design-Bid-Build, and Design-Build delivery methods.
• Administer contracts, review submittals, RFIs, and contractor correspondence.
• Verify progress, reconcile payments, and manage schedules.
• Coordinate with inspectors, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain project execution.
• Promote safety compliance and enforce site safety plans.
