Job summary

TYLin International is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to oversee roadway construction projects in San Diego County on-site. You will inspect procedures, verify contractor work against contract documents, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include preparing daily inspection reports, monitoring traffic control, coordinating with utilities, and assisting in pay quantity documentation and Final Estimate development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with Engineer in Training Certification.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of highway/construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect roadway construction and ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Prepare daily inspection reports.
• Log change orders and track pay quantities for Final Estimate.
• Monitor traffic control during construction.
• Assist in documentation of pay quantities and development of the Final Estimate.
• Ensure safety and quality standards and compliance with contract documents.

This position will be on-site and involves inspecting construction procedures and verifying that work completed by contractors is in accordance with contract documents for roadway projects.Responsibilities & QualificationsResponsibilities:Abide by and enforce construction safety rules and regulations.Read and understand contract documents, including plans and specifications.Complete daily inspection reports.Prepare written reports.Perform inspection of roadway construction.Oversee construction of wet and dry utilities.Monitor traffic control.Assist with inspection of large concrete pours.Assist in the documentation of pay quantities and development of the Final Estimate.Assure general compliance with standards and specifications.Assure documentation, and accuracy of monthly progress payments.Accurately track change order work.Log and track material inspection, certification, and acceptance for the project.Other duties as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with Engineer in Training Certification required, a P.E.
