Job summary

IGH L Inc. is seeking an Assistant Residence Manager to support day-to-day operations of the residence and to act as manager in their absence. The role focuses on supervision of staff, ensuring safety, and coordinating daily activities.

You will supervise direct care staff, participate in training, enforce policies, and maintain programmatic plans; the position requires confidentiality and proactive communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; an associate degree is preferred.
• Two years' experience working with the DD population.
• Valid NYS driver's license and ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Complete AMAP, SCIP, Adult CPR and IGHL Driver Authorization certifications.
• Enthusiastic team player capable of handling stressful situations.
• Willingness to follow IGHL policies and participate in training.

Responsibilities

• Interview staff and adjust schedules; approve time off as needed.
• Provide and fulfill 24-hour on-call responsibility when the manager is unavailable.
• Maintain residence operations in the manager's absence; respond to emergencies.
• Ensure adequate staffing according to program limits and needs.
• Complete incident reports and maintain confidentiality.
• Oversee staff in training of consumers in daily living skills and programming.
