Assist with the daily operations of the residence and ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations, agency policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Support the implementation of individuals' habilitation plans and ensure services are provided in accordance with their identified needs, preferences, and goals.
Oversee individuals' personal allowances, bank accounts, financial records, and related documentation.
Monitor medication administration to promote accuracy, safety, and compliance with applicable standards.
Promote the health, safety, well-being, independence, and personal choice of individuals residing in the home.
Assist with the training, supervision, and evaluation of assigned direct support staff.
Assist the Residence Manager with creating, maintaining, and adjusting weekly staff schedules.
Oversee and review program documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
Perform Direct Support Professional duties as needed to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of services.
Complete incident reports and related documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements.
Respond to emergencies in a professional and appropriate manner.
Proactively communicate with families and guardians to provide updates regarding individuals residing in the home.
Communicate relevant concerns, changes, and progress to the Residence Manager and other members of the individual's support team.
Support a positive, respectful, person-centered environment for both residents and staff.
Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming residential environment.
Minimum of 60 college credits; an Associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
Knowledge of OPWDD regulations, policies, and residential service requirements.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to respond to emergencies calmly and professionally.
Valid and clean New York State Driver's License.
Ability to work effectively with residents, families, staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday.
Smartphone required.
Must have completed the orientation period of 3–6 months in the current position, where applicable.
Must be in good standing in the current position, where applicable.
Must be current with all required mandatory trainings.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Services, Psychology, or a related field.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
Familiarity with eVero, ADP, and Microsoft Office.
Previous experience working in an OPWDD residential setting.
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
Ability to stand, bend, lift, walk, and move throughout the workday.
Ability to provide direct support and assistance to individuals when required.
