Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Washington, CT is seeking an Assistant Residence Manager to implement daily operations and support individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist in planning, supervise house meals, and ensure compliance with documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure required documentation is completed.
• Manage student/resident clothing and property inventories.
• Complete client/house money ledgers.
• Supervise and assist with house meals.

Assistant Residence Manager

Devereux Connecticut offers residential, day and transitional programs and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services. Our goal is to help individuals develop the skills and confidence they need to lead fulfilling and socially-connected lives within their communities.

Washington, CT

Salary

Starting at $23.50 hourly (commensurate with education and experience)

Responsibilities

• Implement the daily operation of the assigned residence and act as shift leader in the absence of the RM.
• Assist in the planning and execution of ISP/IPP Plans.
• Maintain mandated CT DDS medication certification and dispense medication as assigned.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed, including daily logs, MyAvatar, staff communication logs, data collection, and bed checks.
• Manage student/resident clothing and property inventories.
• Complete client/house money ledgers as spending occurs in conjunction with the RM.
• Complete wage spreadsheet and banking as pay checks are received in conjunction with the RM.
• Supervise and assist with house meals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher (BS/BA) preferred. High School diploma/GED required.
• One year of relevant experience preferred.
• Valid CT driver’s license.
• Flexible, patient, energetic, and creative.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend, and move throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or assist with up to 70 pounds as needed.
• Ability to assist with emergency responses, including evacuations or crisis situations.
