Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Waterbury, CT is seeking an Assistant Residence Manager to supervise daily operations, implement ISP/IPP plans, dispense medications, and maintain documentation. The role requires flexibility, patience, energy, creativity, and a real passion for helping individuals with developmental disabilities.

Salary ranges from $23.50 to $25.68 per hour with a Tuesday-Thursday 2PM-10PM schedule and Saturday hours.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher degree preferred; High School diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Valid CT Driver's License required.
  • Be flexible, patient, energetic and creative.
  • Must be minimum 21 years of age.
  • Strong passion for helping individuals with special needs.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the daily operation of the assigned residence and act as shift leader in RM's absence.
  • Assist in planning and carrying out ISP/IPP plans.
  • Maintain CT DDS medication certification and dispense medication as assigned.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed (logs, MyAvatar, communication logs, data collection).
  • Manage resident clothing and property inventories.
  • Complete client/house money ledgers and wage spreadsheets with RM.
  • Supervise and assist with house meals.

Key Responsabilities:

  • Implement the daily operation of the assigned residence and function as shift leader in the absence of the RM.
  • Assist in the planning and carry out of ISP/IPP Plans.

  • Maintain mandated CT DDS medication certification and will dispense medication as assigned.

  • Ensures all required documentation is completed, which includes, but is not limited to, daily logs, MyAvatar, staff communication logs, data collection, bed checks.

  • Responsible for resident clothing and property inventories.

  • Complete client/house money ledgers as spending occurs in conjunction with the RM

  • Complete wage spreadsheet and banking as pay checks are received in conjunction with the RM.

  • Supervise and assist with house meals.

Location: Waterbury, CT

Salary: $23.50 - $25.68 hourly (commensurate with education and experience)

Schedule: Tuesday - Thursday 2PM - 10PM. Saturday 7AM - 4PM.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher degree (BS/BA) preferred. High School diploma/GED required
  • 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Have a valid CT Drivers License.
  • Be flexible, patient, energetic, and creative.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend, and move throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or assist with up to 70 pounds as needed
  • Ability to assist with emergency responses, including evacuations or crisis situations.
